WHO: A coalition of individuals and organizations protecting Florida’s beaches and saving our economy from the threat of off-shore drilling. Join NRDC, Repower Florida, Sierra Club, 1Sky/SACE, Defenders of Wildlife, Florida Wildlife Federation, Surfrider Foundation, Audubon, LCV and EDF
WHEN: Saturday, September 26th, two shifts 10:00a.m. and 1:00p.m.
WHAT: Canvass of Beach-goers and Beach Businesses and Immediate Action Steps urging Florida Senators to pass a strong clean energy bill and to protect Florida’s beaches
WHY: To educate coastal communities on how a clean energy plan can protect Florida’s beaches from drilling.
WHERE: Hallandale Beach – meet at the Beachside Café, 111 Surf Road.
Drive straight off Hallandale Beach Blvd. to Beach Parking. Parking will be free for participants thanks to the generosity of the Beachside Café.
